Judge Thomas R. Brett (Ret)
Thomas R. Brett was a United States District Judge in Oklahoma from 1979 to 2003 (24 years), and served as Chief Judge from 1994 to 1996. He has been active in CPR and has extensive experience in arbitration and mediation. He practiced civil trial law from 1957 to 1979, and is a past president of the Tulsa County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He has received many awards regarding professionalism and ethics, and is a retired colonel in the U. S. Army Judge Advocate General.
Judge Brett graduated from the University of Oklahoma (J.D. 1971) and (B.B.A, 1953), and from the Command and General Staff College, Industrial College of the Armed Forces and Air War College. Before assuming the bench he was a practicing civil trial lawyer and Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers.
